Warning: if the software / app / device uses the Speed &
Cadence protocol to get speed data, you must set a whe-
el circumference value that's equal to the real wheel value
divided by 9,61. Ie: if the wheel circumference us 2095mm
then the value to inout as circumference is equal to 2095 /
9,61 = 218mm.
"Power Service protocol" (Power): This protocol makes it
possible to send data concerning the power output expres-
sed by the cyclist. There's no interaction with the program
/ app / device.
In most cases, smartphones and tablet terminals already
feature Bluetooth Smart connectivity therefore do not need
any additional component to be able to communicate with the
product. Older devices may not be compatible. Check Blue-
tooth Smart compatibility with the Manufacturer.
.
The product features double-channel Blueto-
oth Smart. When the home trainer is connected
to a device, it is possible to also connect it to a
second Bluetooth device.
ANT+
"ANT+ FE-C" Protocol: This protocol allows the software
/ app / device to receive workout data and adjust pedalling
resistance. This protocol allows for total interaction with the
home trainer.
"ANT+ Speed & Cadence Protocol" (Speed & Cadence):
This protocol makes it possible to send speed and pedalling
cadence data. This protocol is much more common than the
ANT+ FE-C one but does not allow interaction with the app /
software / device.
"ANT+ Power Protocol" (Power): This protocol makes it
possible to send data concerning the power output expres-
sed by the cyclist. This protocol is more common than the
ANT+ FE-C one but does not allow interaction with the app /
software / device.
Except for some smartphones that feature integrated ANT+
connectivity, you must use an adapter (fl ash drive) to connect
via the ANT+ protocol.
With Android and PC Windows devices you must use and
USB ANT+ adapter. This fl ash drive can be purchased on the
www.shopelite-it.com website or via other channels. Using
the ANT+ fl ash drive lets the device connect to the home trai-
ner via the ANT+ protocol.
For Android devices you must use and OTG adapter cable.
iOS devices do not support ANT+ adapters so they'll have to
connect via BLE.
A complete list of devices compatible with the ANT+ protocol
is available on the ANT+ website (http://www.thisisant.com/
directory/).

Stand-alone mode
The home trainer lets you conduct a workout with reduced
functions when it's not connected to a software or app.
This mode features 2 different types of functions:
• Stand-alone with home trainer connected to the power grid
• Stand-alone with disconnected home trainer
Stand-alone with home trainer connected to the power grid
This mode sees the home trainer brake simulated gradient.
The gradient value can be set via the My E-Training app. The
home trainer maintains these settings even when it's not con-
nected to a software or app.
The gradient value can be set as a percentage by the user in
an interval ranging from 0% to 24%.

port website support.elite-it.com.
Stand-alone with disconnected home trainer
When the home trainer is disconnected from a power source
it cannot adjust the braking torque nor send workout data, yet
it's still possible to workout.
With this mode, the resistance generated by the home trainer
increases alongside speed based on a value on a scale from
1 to 16.
To adjust the preset braking torque level you must connect
to the home trainer (when powered up) via the My E-Training
app. Once the desired value has been set, the home trainer
will use the preset value when it's not powered up.

port website support.elite-it.com.
Pedalling cadence
The home trainer employs an innovative system to pick up
pedalling cadence data.
This system is called "sensorless" (without sensor). This is
thanks to a calculation based on power oscillations. As it's not
a direct measuremnt but the result of calculations, in certain
situations the cadence value might not be accurate. This hap-
pens when pedalling cadence is high and resistance is low
Cadence Bridge
The Cadence Bridge function connects the home trainer to
an external cadence sensor e sends cadence data via the
standard FEC ANT+ and FTMS BLE protocols.
The compatible cadence sensors are: Speed & Cadence
sensors, Cadence sensors and power sensors that send
cadence data.
The function turns the home trainer into an aggregator for
the data coming from external sensors in order to ease the
connection between software / app and the home trainer /
