SET FRONT LOUDSPEAKER, REAR LOUDSPEAKER,
CENTER + SUBWOOFER
The next three menu options allow you to configure each loudspeaker
individually.
Select a group of loudspeakers by pressing ENTER. A graphical display
is shown with six scales for each loudspeaker. The three scales on the
left control volume, bass and treble for the left-hand loudspeaker, while
the three on the right control volume, bass and treble for the right-hand
loudspeaker.
Using the
and
buttons select your preferred settings for each
loudspeaker and confirm these by pressing ENTER.
Only volume can be adjusted for the sub-woofer.
.In this way you can e. g. control the relationship in the volume
between speech and background noise, as speech is mainly output
through the center loudspeaker, and other sounds are output via
the front and rear loudspeakers.

DOLBY DIGITAL SETUP

In this menu you can change settings for media in Dolby Digital sound
format (see also page 7).
DYNAMIC
The Dolby Digital sound format supports a dynamic setting with which
you can set the volume difference between soft and loud passages in a
scale of nine steps from O F F to F U L L .
O F F
:
The sound is not changed, i. e. loud passages and bass are
output loud, light passages are output light. This setting is
only suitable when no-one will be disturbed.
FULL:
The volume difference is minimised, i. e. loud passages are
reduced, light passages are increased. This setting is suitable
e. g. at night.
To change the setting, use

select the desired value. The settings do not need
to be confirmed with ENTER .

PREFERENCE SETUP

The P R E F E R E N C E menu can only be accessed in Stop mode. During
playback, press twice STOP .
This menu contains the settings for languages, parent control, and the
password.

Select languages

Please note for any choice of language:
A language can only be played if it exists on the DVD. If you select a
language which is not on the DVD, the DVD-Player will substitute
the first language which it finds on the DVD.
The languages available on a given DVD are normally indicated in the DVD
disc menu.
