GB-14
Your unit has separate aerial connections for FM and AM.
Connection of FM aerial
The unit is supplied with a connected loop antenna for the reception of FM
stations. Unwind the loop antenna completely and orient it for the
optimum reception.
You will achieve improved FM reception with a house aerial (not
supplied). To connect a house aerial, disconnect the loop antenna from
the unit. Connect the aerial connection cable with the aerial input on the
unit and the radio aerial wall socket.
Connect the internal AM aerial
The high power AM loop antenna supplied is sufficient in most areas for
good reception from medium wave transmitters.
Connect the cable of the loop antenna with the AM aerial connections at
the back of the unit as shown. For the internal aerial it does not matter how
the cables are connected to the two sockets.
Orient the aerial so as to achieve the best reception, but as
far as possible from the unit, the loudspeaker cables, and
the mains cable. This avoids interference.
To set up the aerial, insert it into the mount into the
adjacent aerial base as shown below.
When you have made all the other connections, connect the mains cable
to a socket (230 V ~ 50 Hz).
The headphone connection is on the front of the unit ( PHONES ). Connect
the headphones using a 6.3-mm stereo jack. In the display, the following
appears HP IN. The loudspeakers are then automatically disconnected. With
loudspeakers connected, sound effects in Radio mode and BASS are not
available.
NOTICE!
Before putting on headphones, turn the volume to minimum!
