Elimination of the surface charge
If the vehicle was running immediately before the test or the battery was charged, the battery probably has
a surface charge. The device may prompt you to remedy this surface charge before the start of the test:
Follow the instructions on the device display:

Test the battery for 5 - 7 seconds.
Select one of the options with the ◄ / ► key when the batteries are charged:
Yes or No
Confirm with Enter.
When the test is completed, the display shows the actual volts and the actual
CCA or %. Press the ◄ / ► key to select SOH (state of health) or SOC (state
of charge).
One of six results will be displayed:
GOOD & PASS
The battery is OK and can receive electricity.
GOOD & RECHARGE
The battery is OK but needs to be recharged.
CAUTION
The battery can be serviced, although the ability to start the engine gradually
decreases. Under extreme climatic conditions, the battery could fail. Loose
contact between the vehicle and the battery that impairs the charging function.
Please be aware of the battery if replacing or testing the charger.
RECHARGE & RETEST
Battery is discharged, the battery condition cannot be determined until it is fully
charged. Recharge the battery & test it again.
BAD & REPLACE
The battery will not hold a charge. It should be replaced immediately.
