Maintenance of the cutting blades
TRAPP shredders leave the factory with 2 cutting
blades sharpened this prolongs the useful life of
the cutting edge
The 2 blades should be sharpened when the
cutting edge is worn.
Whenever sharpening, make sure that you remove
the same amount of material from each blade, so
that you do not affect the balancing if the shaft
assembly and consequently cause vibrations.
The blades should be replaced whenever they do
not permit the perfect sharpening.
To sharpen the blades, proceed as follows.

Models TRP 400E e 400G
1. Raise the drive belt tension lever to facilitate the rotation of the disk.
2. Upon opening the lid of the shredder body (1) rotate the positioning of the 2 discs so that it is easy to remove
the screws (2) and lock washers (3) and remove the knife (4) and carry out the sharpening.
For assembling the equipment, the assembly sequence must follow the exploded drawing.

Loosen the knob (1) and flat washer (2) to the
point where the hook (3) releases the cover (4),
thus providing access to the blades and the disc.
Loosen the screw (4) and lock washer (5) releasing
the knife (6) so that the sharpening can be done
as needed.
