9. CORRECT OPERATION CHECKS

Once the connections described above have been made (See "Installation"), check to make sure
the tyre changer works properly by carrying out the following procedures:
1) Press pedal (1, Fig. E) down to its middle position (see Fig. F): the table top (2, Fig. E)
should turn clockwise at the low speed; press the pedal all the way down (see Fig. F): the table
top should turn clockwise at high speed; pull the pedal up (see Fig. F): the table top should turn
anticlockwise.
2) Open the bead loosener arm (4, Fig. E) manually and depress the bead loosener pedal (3, Fig.
E): the bead loosener will close.
3) Depress the pedal all the way down (5, Fig. E): the four clamps (6, Fig. E) on the table top
will open. When the pedal is depressed again, the clamps should close.
4) Depress the pedal (7, Fig. E) to bring the horizontal arm (11, Fig. E) to its "non-working"
position.
Depress the pedal again to bring the horizontal arm to its "working" position again.
5) Press the yellow pushbutton (1, Fig. F/1): the vertical slide (10, Fig. E) descends, facilitating
the positioning of the toolhead against the rim flange.
Press the red pushbutton (2, Fig. F/1); the operating arms are locked simultaneously, and the
toolhead automatically moves away 2 mm from the rim flange (see chapter on demounting).
Press the toggle switch (3, Fig. F/1); all the operating arms are unlocked simultaneously and the
vertical slide is raised (10, Fig. E).
6) Check that a drop of oil drops into the lubricator glass cup (12, Fig. E) after every two or three
movements of the footpedals (3 or 5, Fig. E).
Oil feed may be regulated by means of the Lubricator adjusting screw (see Fig. F/2).
7) Activate the inflation pedal (Fig. F/3): air must flow out of the inflation head.
WARNING!
During all operations, keep hands and other parts of the body as far as possible from moving parts of the machine.
Necklaces, bracelets and too large clothes, can be dangerous for the operator.
WARNING!
The optional PT accessory and/or other specific accessories are required to work on RUN FLAT, LOW PROFILE or
UHP wheels. For use of the accessories and the correct operating procedure, refer to the manuals supplied with
the accessories themselves, approved by WDK.
