Format Smart Media Card
Prior to first use, the Smart Media Card must be formatted.
In doing so, all data on the Smart Media Card will be deleted.
1. Insert the Smart Media Card into the slot on the right rear
side of the furnace (metal surface facing back).
2. Press the sensor button "M" on the numeric keypad.
3. Select "Smart Card".
4. Select "Format Smart Card".
5. Confirm with "S" = yes (abort with "C" = no).
6. Formatting will take about 5 to 10 seconds.
7. Complete successful formatting by pressing the "C" button.
8. Now the individual programs can be stored on the card.
6.16.1 Program transfer furnace
1. Insert the Smart Media Card into the slot on the right rear
side of the furnace (metal surface facing back).
2. Press the sensor button "M" on the numeric keypad.
3. Select "Smart Card".
4. Press the sensor button "Furnace - Smart Card".
5. Select individual programs from the list or press "All" in the
lower soft key bar.

6. Press " Card" in the lower soft key bar.
7. Confirm program saving by pressing "C".
6.16.2 Program transfer Smart Media Card - furnace
Using this function, you can transfer programs from the Smart Media Card to the
Multimat2 Touch.
1. Insert the Smart Media Card into the slot on the right rear side of the furnace (metal surface
facing back).
2. Press the sensor button "M" on the numeric keypad.
3. Select "Smart Card".
4. Press the sensor button "Smart Card - Furnace".
5. Confirm loading programs with "S" = yes (abort with "C" = no).
6. The program(s) is/are being loaded.
7. Confirm program saving with the "C" button.
Service note:
In the event that your firing programs for older Multimat models were previously stored on a
Smart Card (see Figure 41) and you want to continue using your data on a Multimat2, you can
have the data transferred to a Smart Media Card, free of charge, by your distributor.
