If the rim is to be secured on the inside, the clam-
ping jaws have to be moved inwards.

3. Position the wheel on the clamping plate.
4. Firmly press down the rim by hand and briefly actuate
the clamping jaw pedal to clamp the rim.
5. Lubricate the tire wall up to the rim flange with moun-
ting paste.
6. Press the pedal for the tilting mounting column to move
the mounting column into working position.
7. Move the mounting head into contact with the rim.
Check whether the roller (A) and the underside of the
mounting head are in contact with the edge of the rim.

In the case of alloy rims, always fit the plastic guard
for the roller (B) to prevent damage.

While pressing the locking knob, the horizontal and
vertical distance of the mounting head and mounting
arm is adjusted automatically.
8. Insert the bead lifter between the mounting head and
the rim bead.

To facilitate the process, guide the tire bead into the
drop center on the opposite side of the mounting head
(see Sec. 9).

For RFT or UHP tires (see Sec. 9) it is advisable to make
use of additional tools such as pliers, wedges or the
bead depressor TCE 320 (see Sec. 3.4).
9.
Raise the upper tire bead with the bead lifter and rest
it on the wedge of the mounting head.
