Removing and installing the battery

– Uncover the battery.
Qw W
To prevent short-circuits, cover batteries with exposed poles or connectors
with a rubber mat. If replacing the battery with a crane harness, check that it
has an adequate load capacity (see battery weight on the battery nameplate
on the battery tray). The crane harness must exert a vertical pull to avoid
crushing the battery tray. Attach the hooks so that they cannot fall onto the
battery cells when the tension on the crane harness is released.
Qw W
The truck must be level to prevent battery from rolling out during removal of
battery holder (2,3).
– Pull out the battery connector (1) and stick it through the opening in the frame wall.
– Loosen and remove the battery holders (2,3).
– Pull battery (4) out sideways onto battery transport cart which is standing ready.
The battery is installed in the reverse sequence.
Qw W
Use only the same model battery to replace a battery. After refitting the
battery, inspect all cable joints and plug connections for visible damage.
Covers must be securely closed.
Qw W
The battery can only be removed completely.
