R
To connect Oqulto sound diffusers to any of the 90 Series, New 100 Series, and 400 Series control units (see diagrams e4.9, e4.10), substitute the
loudspeaker connections in the original diagram and keep the rest of the control unit connections:
ā
Each Oqulto 15801 sound diffuser must be installed with equalized amplifier 13185. The type of material must also be selected (plaster,
plaster-board or mineral fiber).
ā
In a mono installation (diagram e4.9) connect control unit output terminal 05 (left channel) to terminal 05 of all 13185 amplifiers.
ā
In a stereo installation (diagram e4.10) connect control unit output terminal 05 (left channel) to terminal 05 of the 13185 amplifier installed
as the left loudspeaker and connect control unit output terminal 06 (right channel) to terminal 05 of amplifier 13185 installed as the right
loudspeaker.
ā
If (optionally) subwoofer 15522 is installed with its 13181 amplifier, connect terminals 05 and 06 to control unit outputs 05 and 06
respectively, whether the installation is mono or stereo.
ā
Any control unit (mono, stereo, or stereo set to mono) can handle a mono or stereo loudspeaker distribution installation. To configure a
stereo control unit to mono, consult the appropriate User and Installation Manual.
ā
Note that a straight stereo signal will only be noticeable in stereo control units with stereo loudspeaker distribution. In the rest of the
combinations, the signal heard in all loudspeakers (left and right) is the sum of the left and right channels.
ā
!
IMPORTANT: Depending on the number of amplifiers connected in the installation it may be necessary to use slave power supplies
(models 11295, 11296, 11299, 11204).
R
To connect an Oqulto sound diffuser to an amplifier with constant impedance output (see diagram e4.11) any combination of diffuser series/parallel
can be used as long as:
ā
The resulting impedance is equal to or greater (never less) than the power amplifier output impedance. Keep in mind that the Oqulto sound
diffuser and its filter have an impedance equivalent to 8 ohms.
ā
The maximum power applied to each diffuser is not greater than its maximum admissible power (8W).
ā
Two connecting examples are shown in diagram 4.11 with power amplifier output 13203 in both mono and stereo configurations. Other
combinations are possible as long as conditions of equivalent impedance and maximum power admissible applied to each Oqulto sound
diffuser are retained.
ā
Each Oqulto sound diffuser should be connected with its equalization filter 13788. Note the polarity.
R
To connect an Oqulto sound diffuser to an amplifier with 100V line out (see diagram e4.12.):
ā
Shunt the diffusers ensuring that the maximum power applied to each diffuser is not greater than its maximum admissible power (8W).
ā
Each Oqulto sound diffuser 15801 should be connected with its equalization filter for 100V line ref. 13788. Note the polarity.
R
Use cables with a minimum section of 0.5 mm to connect to the Oqulto units and baffles.
R
For proper operation of an Oqulto sound diffuser it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to follow the assembly instructions packed with the product. See
Manuals CC-1024, CC-1025, CC-1026.
