Dimensioning
Determining the size of the transformer or of the generator group and their installation should be done by personnel
specialized in this service and according to dimensioning standards with the correct choice of devices and connections for
these devices that will ensure the safety of people and of the equipment itself.
PPD (Peak Protection Device)
The peak protection devices should comply with standard NBR 5410 as for the terms on withstanding the impulse. Its
utilization is given at the entrance of the installation requiring a minimum impulse voltage of 6 KV for a three-phase
system of 380 or 440 Volts.

6. Protection B: circuit breaker or fuse switch according to number of agitators installed:
Configuration with 3, 4, or 5 agitators, protection of 150 A
Configuration with 6 or 8 agitators, protection of 250 A
ATTENTION
The machine's electrical installation drawings that come with the equipment's layout should be checked for
determining the gauge of the wires for protecting the Plant and other metal structures.
IMPORTANT
If the tank does not have agitators, it is not necessary to install the power supply line to the tank (power line related to
protection B indicated in the energy supply diagrams). The power for the fuel pumps, asphalt pumps, and the thermal fluid
heating systems will always be supplied by the Plant's electric power switch panel.
