FM Antenna
Attach the accessory 75-ohm twin-lead feeder antenna
or an outdoor antenna with 75-ohm coaxial cable.
Either may be used with this unit but only one should
be connected.
With the Z mode! (designed for use in West Germany - °
and ftaly), connect the accessory FM unipolar antenna.
When attaching the feeder antenna (E and K models)
Spread the antenna taut in the shape of the letter "T",
taking care not to bring the ends near metal objects or
curtain rails and making sure that the direction of the
antenna yields the optimum reception.
When etecning the FM unipolar antenna (Z model)
Connect the FM unipolar antenna connector to the an-
tenna terminal.
When attaching an outdoor antenna

A number of conditions must be met when installing
the antenna. Vary its position and direction; bear in
mind the items below and find the position displaying
the optimum reception.
®@ Find a position which is not overshadowed
by a
building and which is in the direct path of the sig-
nals sent from the transmitting antenna.
@ Make sure the position is as distant as possible
from a road in order to avoid the ignition noise of
automobiles.
@ Install the antenna as far away as possible from any
other antennas (for instance, the TV antenna).
@ Avoid installing the antenna on a galvanized sheet
iron roof. If this is unavoidable, make sure the anten-
na is at least 2 meters above.

Koaxiaikabel). angeschlossen werden.
Man kann entweder das eine oder das andere Zulei-
tungskabel ftir diesen Tuner verwenden.
Beim Modell Z (fur Verwendung in der BR Deutschland
und in Italien vorgesehen) die mitgelieferte einpolige
UKW-Antenne.
AnschluB der Dipolantenne (Modell E,K) [2 ]
Die Antenne ausgespreizt montieren, so daB sie die
Form des Buchstabens "T" bildet. Bei der Montage dar-
auf achten, da& die Enden der Antenne nicht in der
Nahe von Metallgegenstanden, Vorhangschienen usw.
angeordnet werden. Desgleichen beim Positionieren der
Antenne darauf achten, da8® optimaler Empfang erzielt
wird.

Anbringen einer AuBenantenne
Aufstellungsort der Antenne
Eine Reihe von Voraussetzungen
muB erfullt werden,
wenn die Antenne aufgestellt wird. Position und Aus-
richtung verandern und die untenstehenden Punkte be-
achten, so kann die optimale Empfangsposition ausge-
macht werden.
@ Suchen Sie eine Position mdglichst nicht im Schat-
ten eines Gebaudes, sondern im direkten Weg der
Sendesignale von der Sendeantenne.
@ So weit wie méglich von einer StraBe entfernt auf-
stellen, um Rundfunkstérungen von vorbeifahrenden
Autos zu vermeiden.
@
Die Antenne so weit wie méglich von anderen Anten-
nen (z.B. Fernsehantennen) entfernt aufstellen.
@ Die Antenne nicht auf einem Zinkblechdach instal-
lieren. Sollte das dennoch nicht zu vermeiden sein,
solite sie sich mindestens 2 Meter ber dem Dach
befinden.
