FASTENING THE BURNER TO THE BOILER (steel fi xing fl ange)
The burner is correctly fi tted if the preheating tank is slightly tilted (i.e. higher on the fuel outlet side towards the
nozzle). This slight tilt prevents any build-up of gas inside the tank. The presence of gas inside the preheating
tank will considerably lengthen the time required to get the fuel up to pressure. Therefore the burner could easily
lock-out. When fi tting the burner to the boiler make sure that it is not positioned in a way that cancels out this tilt
or, even worse, that the preheater is tilted the opposite way.
CONDITIONS FOR GOOD INSTALLATION
Before prooceding with installation, check that:
1) The chimney (cross section and height) complies with local standards.
2) When it is necessary to make a refractory lining for the combustion chamber (if the type of boiler requires it),
then it must be made according to the specifi c instructions of the boiler manufacturer).
3) The electric power supply line for the burner should be according to our diagram and the electrical connections
on the burner should match the voltage of the electric power supply line.
4) Fuel pipelines should be made according to our diagram.
5) The nozzle(s) fi tted on the burner should be suitable for the boiler capacity; replace them with others, if ne-
cessary. In no case should the quantity of fuel delivered exceed the maximum amount required by the boiler
and the maximum amount permitted for the burner. Remember that the combustion head has been designed
for nozzles with a 45° spray angle. Only in special cases can nozzles with a different spray angle be fi tted; in
these cases, however, make sure that the nozzle with a different spray angle will not cause problems (fl ame
separation, disk or combustion head fouling, violent ignition, etc.).
6) When removing the protective plastic cap from the nozzle seat be careful because if the sealing surface is
indented (a slight scoring would be enough) it will cause fuel dripping.
7) Make sure that the burner head enters the combustion chamber according to the boiler manufacturer's in-

structions.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Is is advisable to make all the connections with fl exible electric wire. The electric lines should be at an adequate
distance from hot parts. Make sure that the electric line to which the unit will be connected, has frequency and
voltage ratings suitable for the burner. Check that tha main line, the relevant switch with fuses (essential) and the
current limiter (if required) are capable of withstanding the maximum current absorbed by the burner.
For details, refer to the specifi c electric diagram for every burner.

Remark
When tightening the fl ange, it is important to do it
evenly so that the inner faces are parallel between
them. Since the locking system is highly effi cient,
do not tighten the nuts too much.
During this operation (tightening of the fl ange
locking nuts) keep the body of the burner lifted so
that the combustion head is kept in a horizontal
position.
