To assemble:
•
Insert the blade pin (25) in the body of the shear and screw it on the fixed blade (18) applying Loctite 603 or equivalent
on the thread.
•
Align the fixing hole of the fixed blade (18) to the threaded hole on the body (30). Tighten at 40 Nm.
•
Tighten the screw (29) and apply Loctite 243 or equivalent and tighten at 6/7 Nm.
Mount the cutting blade (17).
WARNING!
It is absolutely prohibited to open the body (30) of the shear. All of the operations which the operator is entitled
to carry out can be done by simply removing the cover (14).
WARNING!
Before refitting the blade unit (19) grease the pin (25) and the washer (31).
Cleaning the shear
•
Clean the shear at least once a week, proceeding as follows:
•
Remove the cover (14).
•
Remove any filth with a brush and a dry cloth (do not use liquids).
•
Spray grease on moving parts.
•
Put the cover (14) back on.
Remember that wood chips from cutting mix with the lubricant in the tool and create an abrasive paste, which considerably re-
duces the duration consumable components.
Storage and maintaining the battery pack
Before storing the tool for a long period, you must:
•
Completely charge the battery pack (1).
•
Recharge the battery (1) every 180 days, performing a complete cycle (see Par. 5.3).
•
While idle, keep the equipment in a dry place and put it in its case.
WARNING!
If not recharged every 180 days, the battery (1) could be worn beyond repair.
6.2
Extraordinary maintenance
WARNING!
Before carrying out any maintenance operation, disconnect the cord (12) of the battery (1) from the tool.

Any maintenance operations which have not been dealt with in this manual shall be carried out by an Author-
•
ised Service Point of CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l.
Extraordinary maintenance shall be carried out by a mechanical or electric/electronic maintenance technician.
