1. Is there any media in the paper tray?

Is the proper paper tray fully insetied in the
printer?
3. Are any of the tray identifier protrusions
broken on the paper tray?
4. Is the Paper Sensing Arm broken? (See
Figure 7-4,)
5. Is anything hindering the Paper Sensing
Arm movement?
6.
Is sensor PS301 on the Paper Control PCA
functional?
7. Are dl paper tray size sensing microswitches
functional?
8. Does the Control Panel's Paper/Envelope
setting match the tray being used?
9. Is the e~ected tray size being died for?
10. Is the READY indimtor flashing?

Push the tray into the printer until it contacts
the tray identifier microswitches.
Inspect the tray for damage. If damaged,
replace the tray. (See Figure 7-5.)
Inspect the arm for damage; if broken, replace
the arm.
Veri& that the Sensing Arm swings through
its full range of motion. Ensure the routing of
various cables does not hinder Paper Sensing
Arm movement. It maybe necessary to remove
the DC Power Supply Assembly to closely
inspect the arm's motion.

See "Tray Size Switches (SW201, SW202,
SW203) Functional Check" which follows.
Correct setting to match tray me.
Check the software application.
Wait for a change in the display message after
it stops flashing.
