Static Eliminator
The Static Eliminator (see Figure 6-46) is the fine fiber brush located where the paper etits to the
Top (Face-Down) Output Tray.
1. Remove the Top Cover Assembly and the Delivery Assembly (see above).
2. Remove the screws (2) securing the Static Eliminator.
Deflector Pawls (Claws)
1. With the Top Cover Assembly filly open, pry the right end of the Deflector Pawls (Claws) sh&
out of its retaining ctip (see Figure 6-47).
2. Slide the assembly to the right out of its retainer.
When reinstiling the Deflector Pawls, ensure that the spring is positioned properly and that it is
not damaged (see Figure 6-47).
