Because of wear characteristics, the Separation Pad should be replaced at the
same time that the Feed Roller Assembly is replaced. The pad is located at the
d
Paper Tray end of the Registration Assembly (see FiWre 6-31). The cork on a
worn pad will have a shiny or glwed appearance; the plastic edges will dso show
signs of wear.
1. Open the Top Cover Assembly and remove paper tray.
2. Remove the Registration Assembly (4) as described above.
3. Remove the screws (2) on the underside of the Registration Assembly securing the Separation
Pad.
