Instructions for use 1-Piece Range
Do not cut beyond the maximum possible diameter and make
sure that there is always a 2 to 3 mm margin around your stoma
in order not to strangle or hurt the stomal mucosa.
Separate the pouch walls by crumpling it slightly to introduce
air into it (B).
Grasp the pouch by the sides (C).
Peel off the release from the skin protector and position the
bottom of the flange opening around the base of the stoma (C).
Press the bottom part of the skin protector smoothly onto the
skin, then place and press onto the upper part taking care not
to make folds.
In order to improve the adhesion, place hands over the skin
protector to warm it up (D).
3. Emptying of drainable pouches
Position yourself appropriately.
Drainable pouches with adhesive clamp: slightly lift upwards
the bottom of the pouch, unfold the clamp's extremities and
unfold the outlet to empty the pouch. Once the emptying is
complete, expel, as much as possible, any matter still in the
sleeve by pressing it lightly from top to bottom. Carefully
clean its extremity avoiding the use of shedding cloths.
Drainable pouch with rigid clamp: slightly lifts upwards the
bottom of the pouch and press the latch (N) to open the
clamp. Remove the clamp before emptying the pouch. Then
direct the open end of the pouch over the toilet. Once the
emptying is complete, expel, as much as possible, any matter
still in the sleeve by pressing it lightly from top to bottom.
Carefully clean its extremity avoiding the use of shedding
cloths.
Drainable "Uro" pouches: point the tap towards the toilet
bowl, slowly turn the tap counterclockwise until the desired
flow rate is obtained (H).
After emptying of drainable pouches, close the closure outlet
again as indicated above.
4. Using uro connectors
The connection of the pouch to a B. Braun distal bag can
require the use of the supplied uro connector. To clip on the uro
connector, press the two wings and insert it into the pouch tap
(J). Open the tap turning it half a turn counterclockwise to allow
urine to flow in the B. Braun distal bag (H). To un-clip, close the
tap of the pouch by turning it half clockwise and pull out the uro
connector by pressing the two wings.
5. Using filter protection stickers
Before bathing or showering, stick the filter protection sticker
over the gas evacuation openings (O) in order to maintain filter
performances.
For drainable pouches, in the case of horizontal use of the
pouches (night, etc.) stick the filter protection sticker over
the gas evacuation openings (O) in order to avoid leakages
through the filter. Replace the pouch when a vertical position
is recovered.
6. Removing of the pouch
Pull slightly on the removal tab and remove the pouch from the
top to the bottom, whilst maintaining gentle pressure on the
skin around the stoma with your other hand.
