10. COMPATIBILITY BETWEEN PROCESSED LIQUID AND PUMP MATERIALS
The user must always pump liquids that are compatible with the constructive materials of the pump. In this regard, check che-
mical compatibility between the process fluid and the materials of the pump. They can be easily obtained in technical literature
of the tables supplying the compatibility degree between the two materials: from "not recommended" (meaning alteration of the
features of one of the two materials) to "excellent" (meaning there are no significant alterations of the features of one of the two
materials). To know the pump materials simultaneously use Fig. 5, 6, and 7 and Tab. 3, 4, 5 and 6. From Fig. 5, 6 and 7, compa-
ring them with the label on the pump, determine the representative initials of the metallurgy of the pump and of the seal materials.
From Tab. 3, with the previously determined initials, determine the initials of the materials of the various components used in a
certain constructive execution. Finally, from Tables 4, 5 and 6 obtain the meaning of each, previously identified, initial.
ATTENTION The use of the pump with fluids not compatible with the components materials of the same, or in
ambients with presence of non compatible fluids is, in any case, forbidden.
