The safety instructions contained herein integrate and replace, where in conflict, those contained in the "Use and Maintenance
instructions - self-priming centrifugal pumps - J". The safety instructions refer to the installation, use and maintenance of
centrifugal pumps protected against risk of explosion and intended for use in potentially explosive areas.
ATTENTION These instructions are essential for the correspondence of the pump with the requisites of Directive
94/9/EC, they must therefore be: known, available, understood and used.
ATTENTION Personnel in charge of installation, inspection and maintenance of the pump must have adequate
technical preparation together with adequate knowledge of potentially explosive atmosphere and risks related
thereto.
ATTENTION Every pump use that does not respect that described in the use and maintenance instructions and
in this integration, voids the safety and protection requisites from the risk of explosion.
ATTENTION The risks related to pump use in the precise conditions prescribed in the use and maintenance
manual and in this integration have been analysed: the analysis of the risks linked to interface with other plant
components is the responsibility of the installer.
2. PLACE OF INSTALLATION
The essential safety requisites against risk of explosion in the classified areas are dealt with by Directive 94/9/EC and 1999/92/
EC.
3. MARK AND GENERAL INFORMATION
The pumps of the JP series, according to Directive 94/9/EC, have the following identification mark:
