The pumps of the JS series, in accordance with Directive 94/9/EC, have the following identification mark:
The mark applied to the electric pumps of the JX series, in accordance with Directive 94/9/EC, cannot be previously determined
in that it is based on the assembled motor.
The initials in the mark have the following meaning:
II 2/2 G equipment belonging to group II, of category 2, intended for installation in areas where it is probable that an explosive
atmosphere, constituted by a mix of air and flammable substances in the form of gas, steam or fog, occasionally verifies
during normal functioning (EN 1127-1 par. 6.3) in the internal and external area of the pump;
c/b
equipped with protection against start-up as requested by constructional safety (c) and control of the start-up source (b)
(EN 13463-5);
IIB
gas explosion group;
T4 admitted temperature class. The user must process liquids in temperature in conformity with such classification bearing
in mind the indications in this manual and in the current regulations. the user must also bear in mind the gas, steam or
fog ignition temperatures present in the area of use;

it means there are particular conditions regarding the class of temperature to be read in this manual;
II 2 D equipment belonging to group II, of category 2, intended for installation in areas where it is probable that an explosive
atmosphere, under the form of cloud of dust combustible in the air, occasionally occurs during normal functioning
(EN 1127-1 par. 6.3) in the external area of the pump;

4. INSTALLATION AND START-UP

Assembly of electric motor (JP range )
The JP range pumps must be assembled to an electric motor conform with International norm IEC 60034-7 and in compliance
with the features reported in Table 1.
