the luminaire and 50 mm from the side wall of the recessed housing. If the Y con-
nection cable (CONTROL GEAR TECHNOLOGY-MAINS POWER) is damaged, it must
be replaced by Reggiani Spa or by its customer service department or by qualifi ed
personnel only.
Independent control gears for discharge lamps must have the following
characteristics in accordance with EN 61347-1 + EN 61347-2-9 or 61347-2-12:
mains voltage 230/240V, 50Hz pulse 3.5-4.5kV
Ta 55°C, Tw 130°C.
Thermal circuit breaker. (simbolo F) and CE marking. For connection to an
independent control gear, only use cables resistant to high temperatures (180°),
with double insulated wires of type H05SSF resistant to voltage surges of up to 5kV
with cross section between 1 and 1.5 mm
in diameter. For connection between the luminaire and the control gear, use the
connectors supplied in the standard kit, being careful to secure the cable with the
cable gland included.
To guarantee the declared protection against electric shock (simbolo classe
III), use fl exible two-pole cables (H0VVH2-F / H03VV-F) for external wiring, with
double insulated wires and a minimum diameter of 0.75mm
basic insulation wires use the sheaths supplied to restore the declared Class of
Protection. After connecting, cover the terminals with the corresponding cable
clamp cover.
Emergency luminaires:
- the preferential line must never be interrupted;
- luminous fl ux in emergency use: after 60 seconds, about 20% of the luminous fl ux
of the lamp in ordinary operation; - duration in emergency use: 1 hour;
- the green LED indicates correct operation of the inverter - battery circuit;
- the battery is fully recharged in 24 hours;
- the maintenance-free batteries must be replaced every 4 years;
- every six months, check that the system is functioning correctly by fully
discharging the battery.
For connection to the mains power supply, use H05V2V2 multi-pole cable with wires
of a cross section between 1 mm² and 2.5 mm².
