6.8- Sharpening chopping rotor knives

The sharpener incorporated into the chopper
makes it possible to sharpen the rotor knives at
the harvest place.
Sharp knives require less tractor power to cutting
plants, decrease fuel consumption and guarantee
the best cutting quality.
For safety reasons, before starting the
sharpening, remove the cutting gears.
With this procedure, the feeding drums
will stop working, providing greater safety
during sharpening.
ATTENTION!
Turn off the tractor and remove
the ignition key before starting the
following procedure.
6.8.1- Removing the cutting gears
before sharpening:
Remove the bolt (A) and lift the fairing

(B). Use the rod (R) to support the fairing
open.
Remove the 2 bolts (C) and the cover (D)

from the cutter set box;
Remove the gears (E);
3.
Replace the cover (D) before starting to
sharpen and secure it with the bolts (C).
