4.2.7- Adjusting the opening limiters
The function of the opening limiters (A) and
(B) is to adjust the harvest opening in order
to obtain maximum use of the corncob and
sorghum ears.
The opening limiters should be used for corn
and sorghum crop and should be removed
for harvesting sugar cane, grass and others.
The ideal opening will depend on several
factors, such as: crop size, degree of
maturation, etc. It is recommended to
perform practical tests, testing a few different
openings, and observe the one that presents
the best result.
ATTENTION!
Turn off the tractor and remove
the ignition key before starting
the following procedure.
The adjustment is simple:
Loosen the 3 bolts (C) of each opening
1.
limiter;
Move the opening limiters to the side until
2.
you get the desired opening;
Retighten the fixing bolts (C).
3.
NOTE!
The opening limiters must be adjusted
equally (same spacing as the "corridor")
in the two platforms.
A good adjustment prevents the loss
of corncobs and sorghum ears.
