SpeedPulse XT (optional for S Pulse)
SpeedPulse XT is a modified SpeedPulse mode.
In the mode SpeedPulse XT, welding is executed with a char-
acteristic curve that is stored in the machine. SpeedPulse XT
enables higher welding speeds as well as a deeper fusion pen-
etration compared to Pulse mode.
Press button "Mode" S1 until the mode "SpeedPulseXT" ap-
pears in multifunction display S2.
Speed-TwinPulse XT (optional for S Pulse)
Speed-TwinPulse XT is a modified Speed-TwinPulse mode.
In Speed-TwinPulse XT mode, welding is performed with char-
acteristic curves that are stored in the machine. The Speed-
TwinPulse XT is made up of two different, constantly alter-
nating pulses. Speed-TwinPulse XT provides faster welding
speeds and deeper fusion penetration compared with Twin-
Pulse mode.
Press button "Mode" S1 until the mode "TwinPulse XT" ap-
pears in multifunction display S2.
SpeedPulse (optional for S Pulse)
Mode of the predecessor series; still available for compatibility
reasons.
Speed-TwinPulse (optional)
Mode of the predecessor series; still available for compatibility
reasons.
SpeedUp (optional)
In SpeedUp mode, welding is executed with characteristic
curves that are stored in the machine. SpeedUp permits quick
and easy vertical up-welding (eliminating the need for the
"Christmas tree" movement during welding)
Press button "Mode" S1 until the mode "SpeedUp" appears
in multifunction display S2.
‰ The "Arc length/wire feed speed correction" rotary pulse
encoder S16 effects a change in the arc length in the high
current phase of the "SpeedUp. "
‰ The secondary parameter "SpeedUp wire correction 2" ef-
fects a change in the arc length in the low current phase.
SpeedRoot (optional)
In SpeedRoot mode, welding is performed with characteris-
tic curves that are stored in the machine. SpeedRoot makes it
possible to carry out root welding with large gap bridging and
melt pool checking.
Press button "Mode" S1 until the mode "SpeedRoot" ap-
pears in multifunction display S2.
SpeedCold (optional)
In SpeedCold mode, welding is performed with characteristic
curves that are stored in the machine. SpeedCold enables thin
sheet welding with low thermal input.
Press button "Mode" S1 until the mode "SpeedCold" ap-
pears in multifunction display S2.
Electrode
Bar electrodes can be welded in Electrode mode.
Press button "Mode" S1 until the mode "Electrode" appears
in multifunction display S2.

Man. MIGMAG
In the Manual MIGMAG mode you can weld independently of
a characteristic curve. Just the welding voltage and the wire
feed speed are adjusted independently of each other:
Select the manual mode S1 with the mode button.
Set the welding voltage with the rotary pulse generator
S23.
Adjust the wire feed speed with the right hand rotary
pulse generator S16.
TIG (optional)
Connect TIG torch to the ground connection 1.
Insert torch control switch into control socket 12.
Connect the torch gas hose to the gas connection 13.
Switch the TIG mode on using the "Mode" S1 button.
‰ The following welding parameters can be adjusted for TIG
welding:
– Start current / time
– Downslope
– End current / time
