Before start-up
 Swing the lever back 49 and secure in position with the
tilting levers 46.

Switch off the equipment at the main switch
before carrying out the following work:
For attachment and detachment of torches,
hose pack, additional case or an auxiliary drive.
Failure to observe these points may result in
malfunctions in or damage to electronic com-
ponents.
 Connect the hose pack.
 Turn on the equipment using the main switch 27.
 Press the wire feed button 45.
 Adjust the contact pressure using the regulation screws 46
so that wire feed rollers 48 just slip when the welding wire
coil is stopped. The wire must not be jammed or deformed.

Note for wire feed unit with 4 rollers:
 Adjust the contact pressure of the wire feed rollers 48 on
the side of the inlet nozzle 47 to be less than on the side
of the central socket 11 in order to keep the wire electrode
under tension in the wire feed unit.
 Push the wire feed button 45 until the wire protrudes from
the torch neck by about 20 mm.
 Screw the contact tip matching the wire thickness into the
torch 19 and cut off the protruding end of the wire.

Connecting the inert gas cylinder

 Set the insert gas cylinder 21 down on the carrier plate and
secure it with the chain 23.
 Briefly open the gas cylinder valve 55 several times in order to
blow out any dirt particles present
 Connect the pressure reducer 20 to the inert gas cylinder
21.
 Screw the gas connection 22 to the pressure reducer.
 Open the gas cylinder and adjust the gas volume using
the setting screw 58 of the pressure reducer whilst hold-
ing down the torch switch. The gas flow rate is indicated on
the flow meter 57.
