6. Maintenance

6.6- Changing the drum saws

The drum saws are segmented. Each saw
consists of four equal segments, fixed to the
drum by seven bolts (A).
Whenever you need to replace (due to wear
or breakage), make sure that the machine is
turned off and remove all bolts corresponding
to the part that needs replacement.
For your safety, lift and chock the front of the
machine before performing this operation, and
never forget personal protective equipment.
When changing the saw, also check the
cleaners (B). Replace them if they are
worn or damaged. Use only original
parts.
The use of PPE (Personal Protective
E q u i p m e n t ) i s m a n d a t o r y d u r i n g
operation, maintenance and adjustment
of the machine. Wear suitable gloves and
goggles. Take special care when handling
the saws.
