II.5
WATER CONNECTIONS
II.5.1
CONNECTION TO THE SYSTEM
IMPORTANT !
The layout of the h yd raulic system and connection
of the system to the unit must be carried out in
conformity with local and national rules in force.
IMPORTANT !
It is advisable to install inter cept valves that isolate
the unit from the rest of the system. It is also
advisable to install elastic connection joints.
Mesh filters with a squar e section (longest sid e =
0.8 m m), of a suitable siz e and pr essure drop for the
system, must b e inst alled . Clean the filter from time
to time.
Once the connec tions to the unit ar e made, c hec k that none of the
pipes l eak, and bl eed the air from the s ystem. The water flow rate
through the heat exchanger must not dr op below the value
corresponding with the temperature c hange of 8°C ( with both
compressors on where present or 1 c ompressor).
in the cas e of models without pump, he pump mus t be installed with the
pressing deli ver y towards the water input to the machine.
It is recommended to mount the air bl eed val ve.
II.5.2
HYDRAULIC CIRCUI T CONTENT
II.5.2.1
Minimum contents of w ater circuit
The el ectronic c ontrol equipped with the AdaptiveFunction Plus makes
it possibl e to reduce the amount of water i n the s ystem. For proper
operation of the unit, a minimum amount of water must be ensured in
the water s ystem.

Refer to the maxi mum power that c an be envisioned (als o in heating
mode if THHEY). A s pecific c apacity of 2l/kW. is considered as
indicated in the documentation If the amount of water i n the s ystem is
less than the indicated amount, it is nec essar y to install an additional
storage tank.
II.5.2.2
Maximum contents of w ater circuit
The P1/P2 units are equi pped with an expansi on tank and s afety val ve
that limits the maxi mum amount of water contai ned in the s ystem.

The us e of demineralized water contai ning chlorine or requires the
adoption of specific exc hangers (indicated in the documentation where
availabl e). If it is reas onabl y certain water quality within the tabl e above,
or you are uns ure about the pres ence of different materials that could
cause over time a gradual c orrosion of the heat exchanger, it is
necess ary to insert an i nter mediate heat exchanger ins pecti on and in
material suitable to withstand these c omponents or a heat exc hanger
sacrificial. In water/water units, pit and aqueduct water mus t be us ed in
compliance with the l aws in force in the country where the machi nes are
installed. Regarding the well water, if there is no ris k of corrosion and
do not want to use an intermediate heat exc hanger is nec essar y to
insert upstream of the exchanger a self-cleaning filter with a mesh of 80
microns.
