Avoid continuous running at a low speed
When the engine continues to run at a low speed
(under light load), poor fit may be caused due to
excessive wear on parts. As long as the recom-
mended maximum speed limit is not exceeded, vari-
ous gears can be engaged to accelerate the engine,
but the maximum throttle cannot be increased during
the running-in period.
The following table lists the maximum speed during
running-in period of engine
First 800 km
Below 5000rpm per minute
At 1500 km
Below 7500rpm per minute
After 1500 km
Below 9000rpm per minute
Circulating the oil before riding
Before starting the engine in the high temperature
and low temperature states after running, the
engine should be allowed to idle for a sufficient time,
so as to allow the oil to flow to all lubricating parts.
First routine maintenance inspection
The maintenance after the first 1000km is the most
important maintenance work for motorcycle. All
adjustments must be made properly all fasteners
should be tightened, and dirty oil should be
replaced. Timely maintenance after 1000km will
help ensure long service life and good performance
of engine.
Caution
Maintenance after riding 1000km should be car-
ried out as described in the section "Inspection
and Repair".
Special attention should be paid to "Caution" and
'Warning" in the "Inspection and Maintenance"
section.
When the initial running-in reaches 1000km, please
entrust the maintenance department of dealer to
replace the oil filter; replace the oil, clean the filter
screen, etc. (follow-up maintenance and repair mile-
age requirements should be as specified in the
"maintenance mileage table") At the same time, the
level of engine oil should be checked frequently, and
add special engine oil or the engine oil specified in
the Owner's Manual if required.
