Instructions for fuel and oil
Fuel
Use lead-free gasoline. The octane number of gaso-
line must be 87 or above. If the engine makes a slight
knocking sound, the reason may be because the fuel
at ordinary grade is used, which shall be replaced.
Oil
Please use high-clarity and
high-performance fully syn-
thetic engine oil that meets or
exceeds the SJ level. The
model recommended by fac-
tory is SJ 10W-50 or SN 15W-
50. [The engine failure loss
caused due to the use of fully
synthetic engine oil not purchased from QIANJIANG
company will affect the warranty of motorcycle].
Please go to the maintenance department of QJMO-
TOR dealer to buy the special oil for this motorcycle.
The oil viscosity should be determined according to
the temperature in the riding area. Refer to the illustra-
tion to select the appropriate oil viscosity.
Running-in
Maximum speed
For new motorcycles, do not run the engine beyond
the limit or suddenly accelerate, turn or brake, and
do not make the speed in any gear position exceed
80% of its maximum limit during the running-in
period of the first 1500km; do not operate the throt-
tle valve body under full-open conditions.
Notice
The use of lead-free gasoline can extend the ser-
vice life of spark plug.
Engine speed change
The speed of engine should not be kept constant,
but must be changed from time to time, which helps
fit parts.
During the running-in period, it is necessary to apply
appropriate pressure to all parts of engine, to
ensure a complete fit. However; do not apply too
much load to the engine.
