Connecting dust extractor
The dust extractor must be suitable for the material to be worked. For vacuuming off hazardous, carcinogenic
or dry dusts, use a suitable special vacuum extractor.
▶ Connect the suction hose to the dust removal connector.

Installing the saw blade
Check that the blade to be fitted complies with the technical requirements and that it is well sharpened.
A sharp saw blade is an essential requirement for a perfect cut.
1. Clean the mounting flange and the clamping flange.
2. Slip the mounting flange right way round on to the arbor (1).
3. Open the pivoting guard (2).
4. Insert the new saw blade.
Note the direction-of-rotation arrows (3) on the saw blade and on the product. They must point in
the same direction.
5. Place the outer clamping flange in position, right way round (4).
6. Install the clamping screw.
7. Insert the hex key into the saw blade clamping screw.
8. Press and hold down the spindle lock button (5).
9. Use the hex key to tighten the clamping screw (6).
10. Check that the saw blade is seated correctly.
11. Check that the saw blade has clearance. It is not permissible for the saw blade to come into contact with
other components of the saw in any combination of settings (miter angle and/or bevel angle).
12. Insert the hex key into the holder provided for the purpose.

Removing the saw blade
WARNING
Risk of burns and cut injuries at saw blade, clamping screw and clamping flange The consequences
can be burns and cut injuries.
▶ Wear protective gloves when changing saw blades.
1. Press and hold down the spindle lock button (1).
2. Use the hex key to slacken the clamping screw (2).
3. Remove the clamping screw and the clamping flange (3).
4. Open the pivoting guard (4) and remove the saw blade (5).
If necessary, the mounting flange can be removed for cleaning.

Operation

6.1
Latching / unlatching carriage
The carriage can be latched at any point along its line of movement.
1. To latch the carriage, turn the locking screw (1) clockwise.
▶ The locking screw clamps the slider bar, preventing the sliding movement.
2. To unlock the carriage, turn the locking screw (1) counter-clockwise.
6.2
Setting the cutting depth on the depth gauge
Use the depth gauge when you want to saw a groove, for example.
1. Swivel the stop plate (1) of the depth gauge so that the depth gauge does not pass through the opening
when the saw head is lowered.
2. Turn the knurled screw to set the desired cutting depth (2).
