WARNING
Risk of injury by unsecured workpiece! If the workpiece is not correctly secured against the miter fence,
the workpiece can shift during cutting and cause possible damage to the saw blade, which can lead to
ejection of the workpiece and loss of control.
▶ For all operations, the workpiece has to be firmly secured against the turntable and the miter fence with
the screw clamp.
WARNING
Risk of injury by contact between components of the saw and the screw clamp! Contact with the
screw clamp can damage the saw blade. The protective devices can be obstructed by the screw clamp
and restricted in their functionality. The movement of the saw head can be obstructed by the screw clamp,
leading to kickback.
▶ With the saw switched off, perform a dry run of the expected movement. Make sure that no components
of the saw come into contact with the screw clamp.
▶ If necessary, reposition the screw clamp on the saw.
▶ Press the release button of the screw clamp (2) and pull the threaded rod all the way up.
▶ Insert the screw clamp into one of the openings provided for the purpose (1).
▶ Press the workpiece firmly against the bottom miter fence.
▶ Press the release button of the screw clamp to quickly adjust the threaded rod to the workpiece (2).
▶ Tilt the screw clamp to the rear, opposite to the position of the threaded rod (3). Then tighten the
threaded rod by screwing the knob clockwise to secure the workpiece (4).
▶ To release the workpiece, screw the threaded rod counter-clockwise. Then press the release button
of the screw clamp and pull the threaded rod all the way up.

WARNING
Risk of injury due to incorrect positioning of hands and arms. If positioning is incorrect the rotating saw
blade can come into contact with arms and hands and cause serious injuries.
▶ Never cross over your arms when sawing. Never cross an arm or hand over the cutting line.
▶ Keep arms and hands outside the marked danger zone to right and left of the saw blade.
Correct posture and correct positioning of the hands when working with the miter saw make cutting easier,
more accurate and safer.
Stand firmly with both feet on the floor and maintain your balance. When you move the miter arm to left or
right follow it and stand slightly to one side of the saw blade.
Keep the danger zone of 230 mm (9 in) to the left and 270 mm (10.4 in) to the right of the saw blade clear.
Keep hands, arms and other body parts outside this danger zone.
