2. Set the bevel angle to 0°.
3. Slacken the securing screw of one pointer for the bevel angle and set it exactly to the 0° reading.
4. Retighten the securing screw hand-tight. In this process, hold the pointer exactly at the 0° reading.
5. If necessary, repeat the step for the second pointer for the bevel angle.
6. Check that the actual bevel angle and the two pointers match for the 45° right and 45° left angles.
▶ If the check shows that a pointer does not match the actual angle at one or more positions and
cannot be corrected by adjustment, consult Hilti Service.
7.4.3
Checking miter angle
1. Push the saw head all the way back (away from you).
2. Position the stop plate of the depth gauge so that the depth gauge passes through the opening when
the saw head is lowered. → page 13
3. Set the bevel angle to 0°.
4. Push the saw head down and engage the transport lock to lock the saw head.
5. Set the miter angle to 0°.
6. Set an angle gauge to 90°.
7. Lay the angle gauge flat on the saw table and flush against the miter fence.
8. Move the angle gauge to the saw blade.
▶ The angle gauge must be flush with the saw blade along the entire line.
9. Set the miter angle to 45° right.
10. Set the angle gauge to 45° (alternatively, 135° for measurement from the left side).
11. Lay the angle gauge flat on the saw table and flush against the miter fence.
12. Move the angle gauge to the saw blade.
▶ The angle gauge must be flush with the saw blade along the entire line.
13. Repeat the steps for the 45° left miter angle.
Result 1 / 2
The angle gauge is flush with the saw blade along the entire line in all three measurements.
▶ The saw is correctly adjusted.
Result 2 / 2
The angle gauge and the saw blade are not flush in one or more measurements.
▶ Adjust the miter angle or consult Hilti Service. → page 20
7.4.4
Adjusting miter angle and scale
1. Latch the turntable at the 0° position.
2. Loosen the locking knob of the turntable.
3. Loosen the four securing screws of the scale of the miter angle.
4. Set an angle gauge to 90°.
5. Lay the angle gauge flat on the saw table and flush against the miter fence.
6. Move the angle gauge to the saw blade. Adjust the turntable including the scale of the miter angle on the
basis of the angle gauge.
▶ The angle gauge must be flush with the saw blade along the entire line.
7. Tighten the locking knob of the turntable to prevent movement of the turntable.
8. Tighten the four securing screws of the scale of the miter angle.
9. Check the 45° right and 45° left miter angles. → page 20
Result 1 / 2
At the 45° right and 45° left miter angles, the angle gauge is flush with the saw blade along the entire line.
▶ The saw is correctly adjusted.
Result 2 / 2
The angle gauge and the saw blade are not flush in one or more measurements.

Adjusting pointers for miter angle
1. Check that the miter angle is perfectly accurate. → page 20
2. If necessary, adjust the miter angle. → page 20
3. Set the miter angle to 0°.
4. Slacken the securing screw of one pointer for the miter angle and set it exactly to the 0° reading.
5. Retighten the securing screw hand-tight. In this process, hold the pointer exactly at the 0° reading.
