3. When you no longer want to limit the cutting depth, swivel the stop plate (1) so that the depth gauge
passes through the opening when the saw head is lowered.
6.3
Extending saw table
WARNING
Risk of injury by long workpieces. Long workpieces can tilt erratically out of position while cutting is in
progress, lift up the guard, pinch the saw blade and lead to kickback.
▶ Support long workpieces with additional sawhorses or comparable supporting structures.
The contact surface of the saw table can be extended to right and/or left with the extension supports.
1. Open the release lever of the extension support (1).
2. Pull the extension support out (2).
3. Lock the release lever of the extension support (1).
4. If necessary, repeat these steps for the opposing extension support.

Setting top miter fences 8,
Depending on the bevel angle and/or the miter angle setting, the top miter fences have to moved outward
or completely removed.
1. Open the release lever (1) of the top miter fence, left or right.
2. Pull the top miter fence (2) outward as far as necessary or remove the miter fence.
3. Close the release lever (1).
▶ Reinstall the top miter fences at the innermost position when you are going to make straight cuts.
4. If it has been removed, the top miter fence can be secured to the rods of the extension support for
safekeeping while the sawing operation is in progress.

Setting miter angle
WARNING
Risk of injury if turntable not latched. If not latched the turntable can turn while the cut is in progress,
skewing the workpiece and leading to kickback.
▶ Always tighten the locking knob of the turntable before you perform a cut.
Conditions: Standard miter angles
For quick, accurate selection of the commonly used miter angles, there are notches on the scale of the
miter angle. The turntable can be latched at these notches.
Detent positions, miter angle
Left
45°; 31.6°; 22.5°; 15°
▶ If applicable, loosen the locking knob of the turntable (2).
▶ Pull the release lever of the turntable up and hold it in this position (1) and turn the turntable to a
position just short of the desired miter angle (3).
▶ Let go of the turntable release lever and turn the turntable farther until the latching mechanism
engages at the desired miter angle.
▶ Tighten the locking knob of the turntable (2).
Conditions: Any miter angle
Apart from the standard miter angles, a freely selectable miter angle can be set.
▶ If applicable, loosen the locking knob of the turntable (2).
▶ Pull the release lever of the turntable (1) up and latch it (4).
▶ Set the turntable to the desired miter angle (3).
