6. If necessary, repeat the step for the second pointer for the miter angle.
7. Check that the actual miter angle and the two pointers match for the 45° right and 45° left angles.
▶ If the check shows that a pointer does not match the actual angle at one or more positions and
cannot be corrected by adjustment, consult Hilti Service.

Replacing dust trap
WARNING
Risk of injury by incorrectly installed deflectors. If a deflector is installed wrong way round, the saw blade
can be trapped. The deflector or the saw blade could break and fragments could be ejected.
▶ When installing the deflectors, make sure they are installed the right way round. The spring-loaded part
of the deflector must face away from the saw blade.
1. Unscrew securing screws (1) on one side and remove deflector (3).
2. Unscrew the securing screws on the opposite side and remove the second deflector and dust trap (2).
3. Insert new dust trap (2) and one deflector (3).
▶ Make sure that the deflector is correctly positioned.
4. Screw both parts on with the securing screws.
5. Tighten the screws to secure the second deflector and the dust trap on the opposite side.
▶ Make sure that the deflector is correctly positioned.
▶ Check that the dust trap and both deflectors are secure.

Replacing slot plates
The slot plates are set ex-works so that they do not come into contact with the saw blade. Nevertheless, to
a certain extent the slot plates are subject to wear. Hilti offers the slot plates as a spare part. They can be
replaced quickly and easily by the user.
1. Open all securing screws of the slot plates and dispose of the worn out slot plates.
2. Install the new slot plates.
3. Tighten the securing screws to the point at which the slot plates can still be moved.
4. Adjust the position of the slot plates so that the saw blade does not come into contact with them.
▶ In particular, check the maximum right and left bevel angles.
▶ Also check all other miter angles and bevel angles.
5. After completing the adjustments, tighten all the securing screws hand-tight.
