1. Insert the RJ-45 plug of the communication cable (3). Note the
following:
The cable must not be able to enter the fan.

If you are using the SmartConnect with the Conergy or Voltwerk 2-axis
tracking system, attach 2 mounting rail bus connectors (included in the
delivery) to the housing of the CAN distributor.
2. Mount the CAN distributor (2) onto the top-hat rail (1).
The CAN distributor is connected and installed.

Connection of several SmartConnect units

If you are switching several SmartConnect devices in parallel, this saves
cables, installation time and costs. Note the following:

Prerequisites
The DC disconnect is switched off (Off).

You have ensured that all connected SmartConnect devices are

voltage-free. Switching the DC disconnect to Off does not guarantee
that the device is free of voltage.
The central inverter is isolated.

1. Connect the DC main cable (see Chapter 5.5, page 34)
2. Wiring with several SmartConnect devices (see Fig. 5.1, page 27).
3. Connecting the mains cable(see Chapter 5.2, page 29)
4. Wiring with several SmartConnect devices (see Fig. 5.2, page 27).
