Connecting the mains cable
1. Loosen the metric screw connection (see Fig. 3.3, page 15, item (21))
and guide the mains cable through it.
2. Strip and remove the insulation from the mains cable (11 mm).
3. Lay the mains cable. Note the following:
The cable must not be able to enter the fan.
4. Connect the conductor to terminals. Note the following sequence:
PE conductor for auxiliary power supply
N input
L input
Conductor for external signal transmitter (optional)
Conductor for external string switch-off system (optional).
5. Tighten the metric connecting screws (tightening torque 5 Nm).
The mains cable is connected.
If you want to connect several SmartConnect devices (see Chapter 5.7,
page 38), repeat the procedure for the second mains cable.
Connecting the earthing cable
Prerequisites
The DC disconnect is switched off (Off).
You have ensured that the device is voltage-free. Switching the DC
disconnect to Off does not guarantee that the device is free of voltage.
The central inverter is isolated.
The earthing system for the photovoltaic system has been checked.
The lightning protection concept for the photovoltaic system has been
checked.
