a) If you also want to connect an external signal transmitter or an external string switch-off system, use a 5-pin mains cable.
b) For the motor control systems of the Conergy or Voltwerk 2-axis tracking system, the CAN cable in the external sleeve must contain 2 strands
for the 24V auxiliary voltage supply of the motor control and a shielded internal cable for the CANopen bus. The outer casing must be weather
resistant and suitable for laying underground. The CAN L and CAN H strands must be twisted. The manufacturer recommends, e.g. the type
LS9Y11Y 2 × 1 + O2YSC11Y 2 × 2 × 0.5. You can order appropriate cables from the manufacturer.

Disconnect the unit.

Ensure that the unit cannot be switched on again.

Verify that the system is fully deenergised. Switching the DC
|
disconnect to Off does not guarantee that the device is free of voltage.
Earth and short-circuit the unit.

Cover adjacent live parts.
|
Seal off unrequired metric screw connections with the sealing plugs
|
supplied.
When working on any live device components or wires, a second
|
person must always be present. In the event of an electrical accident,
this person must switch off the electricity supply and provide help.

Cables required

Only use copper wires.
When selecting cables, ensure that these
are designed and approved for the maximum current in the system, and
|
have a configuration and diameter that corresponds to the standards,
|
regulations, and the required voltage drop.

Processing instructions for metric screw connections
Metric screw connections are designed for
1 cable with round cross-section

a defined diameter range.

If you use cables with a different diameter, the metric screw
connections or the sealing inserts must be changed. Note the
following:
If the cables are too thin, it is not permitted to thicken them using
|
insulation tape or similar in order to increase the diameter.
