Repeat the procedure for the string plus cable and the string minus cable
for each individual string. Then:
Remove all remaining cable parts (strands, insulation) and any dirt from

the device.

Connecting DC main cable

Prerequisites
The DC disconnect is switched off (Off).
|
You have ensured that all connected SmartConnect devices are
|
voltage-free. Switching the DC disconnect to Off does not guarantee
that the device is free of voltage.
The central inverter is isolated.
|
The connection of the DC main cable is performed separately for negative
and positive cables, and they are connected directly to the main
connection terminals (positive and negative).
Tools required
Torque wrench for 8 mm Allen bolts.

Connecting the DC main cable
1. Loosen the metric screw connection (see Fig. 3.3, page 15, item (21)).
2. Strip and remove the insulation from the minus cable (max. 40 mm).
Material damage due to sharp edges.
Installation components (retaining pins and stud bolts, top-hat rails,
installation plates, etc.) in and on the device can damage the insulation of
the DC main cable.
Use edge protection to cover sharp edges.

Lay the DC main cable at a suitable distance from sharp-edged
|
components.
3. Lead through the minus cable and lay it in the device. Note the
following:
The cable must not be able to enter the fan.
|
Lay the cable so that it does not exert any mechanical pull or
|
pressure on the terminal.
