• Energy Efficiency Features
- Compliant with the California Energy Commission appliance
standards for small battery charging systems. The charger
pockets automatically sleep, then wake to respond to user action
or to service a battery in the pocket.
- Compliant with the European Standby Current Limits (European
Charger Kit). When Power Saver Mode is enabled, all charger
pockets, except Pocket #1, turn off automatically when there is no
activity for a period of time. Pressing any Keypad button turns
these pockets back on.
• Higher-rate IMPRES 2 Lithium-Ion battery charging.
• Faster charging.
• Extended battery life cycle.
Operation of a radio while it is in the charger is not recommended.
During the charging process, radio operation may result in minimally
reduced radio performance and extended battery charge time.
During Calibration/Reconditioning, the battery is fully discharged
before being fully charged. As a result, the radio may shut down during
the discharge phase. It is recommended that you calibrate the battery
without the radio attached or with the attached radio turned off.
IMPRES 2 and IMPRES Batteries and Chargers
Features and Benefits
The IMPRES 2 energy solution is an advanced Tri-Chemistry energy
system developed by Motorola Solutions. This system includes:
• IMPRES 2 and IMPRES Batteries
• IMPRES 2 Adaptive Charger
• IMPRES Radios
Charging IMPRES 2 or IMPRES batteries using an IMPRES 2
Adaptive Charger, which periodically calibrates or reconditions the
battery, yields the following benefits:
