The charger pocket is not the standard pocket for charging a
battery (through electrical contacts between the charger and the
battery).
• A Radio Pocket is a special pocket in which the battery is
attached to a radio, there are no external contacts on the
battery, and the battery is charged through electrical contacts
on the radio.
• A Charging Pocket is a pocket that uses charger energy for a
special purpose, such as USB charging ports.
Move the battery to a standard pocket or replace the Radio
Pocket or Charging Pocket with a standard pocket.
Remove the battery from the pocket. Verify that the battery is
NOT attached to a radio.
Verify that the battery is an IMPRES 2, IMPRES, or other
authorized Motorola Solutions Lithium-Ion battery. Other
batteries will be faulted.
Clean the IMPRES 2, IMPRES, or other authorized Motorola
Solutions Lithium-Ion battery electrical contacts using a dry
cloth.
Remove power from the charger, then clean the pocket
electrical contacts using a dry cloth.
Try replacing the battery with another IMPRES 2, IMPRES, or
other authorized Motorola Solutions Lithium-Ion battery. If the
fault no longer exists, then take the faulted IMPRES 2,
IMPRES, or other authorized Motorola Solutions Lithium-Ion
battery out of service.
If the fault persists with the replacement IMPRES 2, IMPRES,
or other authorized Motorola Solutions Lithium-Ion battery, take
the charger out of service.
The Potential Capacity of the authentic Motorola Solutions
Lithium-Ion battery may be less than the Ship Lithium limit. The
battery may be nearing End of Life.
