Adjusting the Table Insert
(Fig. 51)
The Table Insert 12 includes four Adjustment
Screws 85 to set the height of the insert.
1. Place the Table Insert 12 into the recep-
tacle in the top of the Table 13, and lock it
in place. See "Installing the Table Insert" on
page 18.
2. Place a straight edge, such as the metal ruler
from a combination square, across the top of
the Table 13 and the Table Insert 12.
3. If the surface of the Table Insert 12 is not
at the same level as the top of the Table 13,
use a small slotted screwdriver to turn each
Table Insert Adjustment Screw 85 until the
Table Insert 12 is at the same level as the
Table 13.

Adjusting 0° and 45° Positive Stops
Your saw is equipped with positive stops for fast
and ac curate positioning of the saw Blade 32 at
90° and 45° to the Table 13.
Adjusting 0° Positive Stop
(Fig. 52, Fig. 53, Fig. 54)
1. Turn the Elevation Wheel 2 clockwise and
raise the Blade 32 to maxi mum height.
2. Loosen the Blade Bevel Lock Handle 3 by
turning it counterclockwise.
3. Push the Elevation Wheel 2 to the left as far
as possible. Then tighten the Blade Bevel
Lock Handle 3 by turning it clockwise.
4. Place a combination square on the Table 13
with one end of the square against the Blade
32, and check to see if the blade is 90° to
the Table 13.
5. If the Blade 32 is not 90° to the Table 13:
• Loosen the Blade Bevel Lock Handle 3 by
turning it counterclockwise.
• Loosen the 90° Adjustment Screw 87.
