2.4 SAFETY DEVICES
2.4.1
Interior Overpressure Protection
The vessel has a rupture disc to protect against an overpressure inside, which is in
contact with internal atmosphere. In case of overpressure due to an abnormal
operation of the system that exceeds the nominal pressure of rupture disc, it breaks
down and depressurizes the vessel.
Interior pressure in vessel is always visible by a pressure gauge located in the top of
the vessel.
To ensure the properly operation of the rupture disc, the pressure inside
the vessel must not exceed the maximum pressure PS (3 bar). So, it may
be necessary the installation of pressure reducer elements which will
ensure that the supply pressure is lower than the design pressure.
The user must ensure that these elements are always in perfect operating
conditions.
2.4.2
Excess of pressure protection in dimple Jacket
The vessels' double jacket is equipped with internal overpressure protective
equipment consisting of a safety valve and a pressure gauge.
In case of overpressure exceeding the safety valve's nominal pressure, the valve
would open, thereby relieving the excess pressure inside the vessel's double jacket.
To ensure the properly operation of the security valve the pressure inside
the vessel must not exceed the maximum pressure PS (3 bar). So, it may
be necessary the installation of pressure reducer elements which will
ensure that the supply pressure is lower than the design pressure.
The user must ensure that these elements are always in perfect operating
conditions.
IMPORTANT
The relief outlet must be leaded to a safe area out of the reach of any
person.
2.4.3
Emergency Stop
The system has an EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON located in the control panel, which
stops immediately the equipment when it is pressed.
After an emergency stop, it is necessary to reset the button by turning it on its axis.
