Dear Parents,
Congratulations on your purchase of a Zapf Creation AG product. We would recommend that you read
through the instructions for use carefully before using the product for the first time and retain the
packaging for future references.
FEATURES
Movability
Due to the joints at her arms, legs and the head, BABY born® is fully articulated. (Fig. 1)
Drinking and soiling her nappy
BABY born® can really drink. Fill the included bottle with fresh tap water. When feeding, you should hold
her upright so that she will not soil her nappy immediately. Only use water. All other liquids may block
the tubes and tanks inside the doll. Afterwards, screw the drinking cap on tightly. For drinking, put the
tip of the bottle deep into her mouth and press on the sides of the bottle. BABY born® can drink about
2/3 of the bottle before soiling her nappy. As soon as you lay BABY born® down, she will soil her nappy.
The wet nappy can then be changed. One nappy is included in the pack. BABY born®-fitted nappies can
be obtained from your toy store. (When you feed her with the bottle, the water may pour into the nappy
before you lay down BABY born®.)
NEW: BABY born® can pee into the potty.
After feeding, BABY born® can go to the potty. For that, undress BABY born®, bend her legs, place her on
the potty in sitting position and press and hold the belly button (Fig. 2). By pressing the belly button the
first step is for peeing and the second step is for pooing. A "click" sound show you the related step. Please
keep the belly button pressed until it is completely empty. The belly button will always be blocked, if the
legs are not bended properly.
Eating and going to the potty
BABY born® can really eat porridge. Fill the attached porridge bowl up to the mark (12 ml) with water;
mix it with the contents of the bag until all lumps have been stirred in and the porridge has absorbed
the water. After a short time, the porridge will have achieved the proper thin consistency, and you will be
able to feed BABY born®. Lay BABY born® across your arm, and feed her with your other hand. Use only
original BABY born® food as otherwise the tubes and tanks within the doll may become blocked. Never
fill the porridge into the bottle. It may pour into a tank inside the doll that is not intended for porridge,
thus blocking the tank. In case the doll food runs out, you can buy the porridge at your toy store. The doll
food is made up of a sugar-starch mixture and poses no health hazard if inadvertently consumed. Please
mind the best before date printed on the bags.

Important:
It is absolutely necessary to clean BABY born®'s internal tube system immediately after
emptying. Please see also "Cleaning BABY born®".
Crying
If you squeeze BABY born®'s right arm several times, she can cry real tears.
(Feed water to BABY born® before she can cry. BABY born® should not pee into the nappy or going to the
potty before crying.)
Bathing
BABY born® can have a bath in the bathtub or be taken to the swimming pool. However, she should not
be immersed. Do not leave Baby born unattended in direct sunlight for an extended period of time (max.
1 hour).
Please make sure before bathing that the screw cap on BABY born®'s back is closed (slot of the screw cap
