5.2 REGULATING PLAY BETWEEN BLADE AND LEDGER

Model ESM mower bar.

The blade sections n.2, under ledger plate n.3, should be almost without play.

Guide block n.4 must be installed parallel with the angled rear of blade section

n.2.

Blade sections should protrude about 0.5-2mm beyond bar sections n.1.

X play will be between 0.1-1mm and permit the cutting blade to be moved by

hand without encountering too much resistance.

To adjust play, follow these steps:

- Play between blade sections n.2 and ledger plate n.3: slacken off screw n.6.

- X play: slacken off screws n.5, move guide block n.4 and ledger plate n.3. Re-

tighten screws n.5.

CAUTION! Before changing the blade, locate the mower in a stable

position, brake the cultivator and switch the engine off.

To change the blade: - remove screws n.3 fig1-2 fixing the blade head and

remove the blade from the left side of the mower bar.

Note: when installing the blade head, make sure that the blade drive bearing has

no axial play.
