2. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The Series 60 cultivator offers four different work widths:
1150mm, 1000mm, 850mm e 630mm.
2.1 COUPLING THE CULTIVATOR TO THE ROTOVATOR
As with the majority of implements, the cultivator is coupled to the rotovator by
means of the two link rods n.1 as shown in fig.2, part of the rotovator's standard
equipment.
An optional transfer wheel is available.
2.2 WORK DEPTH REGULATION
Work depth is regulated by the angle of the hoes connected to the coulter.
Knob n.1 fig.1 is used to increase or decrease the work depth.
2.3 HOOD HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
Height adjustment can be in six positions by positioning screws n.2-3 fig.1 in one
of the hood height adjusting rod and hood mounting holes.
This operation is done to prevent soil collecting when working particularly wet
ground or to prevent excessive dust when the soil is extremely dry.
2.4 HOOD WIDTH ADJUSTMENT
Hood width can be adjusted by moving screws n.4 fig.1 into the holes for the
cultivating width required.
This operation must be done on both sides of the hood.
2.5 REGULATING CULTIVATING WIDTH
The exact layout of the hoe assemblies and their mounts in the different
cultivating widths for the "Fresa 60" is illustrated in the following figures: fig.3 -
850mm fig.4 - 1000mm fig.5 - 1150mm fig.6.
3. MAINTENANCE
After the first work hours and from time to time thereafter, check to make sure
the hoes are nicely tightened on their mounts. This will prevent the screws from
being sheared if the hoes have loosened.
If the hoes are bent during work, cold straighten them so as not
to alter the heat treatment the cutters have been subjected to.
3.1 CHANGING THE OIL IN THE BEVEL GEAR BOX
After about 800 working hours, change this oil.
To change the oil, remove plug n.5 fig.1 and tilt the cultivato rover until all the oil
has drained out.
Add about 800 grams of new oil.
It is advisable to use AGIP ROTRA MP SAE 80W/90 oil.
Check the oil level with the dipstick in this same plug n.5. The cultivator must be
