2.5 SIDE BLADE GUARD SLIDE

(Supplied as an optional only for ESM mower bars)
These enable mowing around trees, pavements, walls, curbs, etc. without
damage to mower bar or plants.
Side slides n.5 fig.1 are installed using the hole pre-drilled in the machined part
of the bar. Use screw n.6 and a washer.
If there are no holes in the machined section, they can be drilled following the
measurements given in fig.4.

3. MODEL IDENTIFICATION

Model and series are the machine's identification data. You will find them
stamped on the flange casing at point C fig.3.
When ordering parts for the mower bar, always specify the model and Serial
Number of the bar as indicated by the arrow in
fig.1.
Use only original parts

4. MAINTENANCE - CLEANING - LUBRICATION

After every use, clean the bar thoroughly and, from time to time, all the machine.
After washing, lubricate all contact parts of the mower bar with a couple of drops
of oil.
From time to time grease all the casing centering points to prevent rust.

5 REGISTRATIONS

5.1 REGULATING PLAY BETWEEN BLADE AND LEDGER

The wear plates n.2 under ledger plate n.3, should have a play of Y=0.2-0.3mm.
The guide plate n.4 must be installed parallel with the angled rear side of wear
plate n.2.
The blade sections must have a play of X=0.2-1mm with the ledger plate.
The blade's reciprocating movement must be achievable manually without
meeting too much resistance.
Follow these steps to adjust play:
- X play: Slacken off screws n.5, register the guide block and then re-tighten the
screws.
- Y play: slacken off lock nut n.6, register play with screw n.7. Re-tighten lock nut
n.6.
