Instructions for use and care
G
• In extreme cases of overheating, the aluminum in the base can melt and liquefy. In case of overheating, never
remove the pot from the heat source, as you could be burned by leaking hot aluminum. Turn off the heat source,
let the pot cool off, and air out the room.
• If you are using your cookware in the oven, never heat the oven to over 220° C, and do not use the grill.
• Overheating will damage the nonstick characteristic of the sealing and cause it to burn and smoke to form. If
this should happen, turn off the heat source, open the oven door if you are using the oven, and air the room
completely.
• To prevent burning by bubbling or foaming oil while deep-frying, do not fill the pot more than halfway with oil.
Do not cover the pot, and do not overheat the oil. The temperature is right for deep-frying if little bubbles form
around the handle of a wooden spoon when it is dipped into the hot oil.
• While the pot is cooling off, it is possible for the tightly closing lid to be „sucked" onto it. To prevent this, wipe
off the edges of the pot and the lid so that they are dry before permitting them to cool. If the lid should still be
difficult to remove, you can release the pressure by reheating the pot.
• Induction cooking: To prevent overheating of the cookware due to the high power of induction cooking, be sure
to follow the directions provided by the manufacturer of your stove. Never heat the cookware unattended,
empty or at the highest level. A humming sound may be heard during induction cooking. This sound has technical
reasons and does not indicate that your stove or cookware is defective. Always place the pot in the middle of
the cooking zone. Always use a pot that is the same size as the cooking zone or larger, for otherwise the coo-
king zone may not react to the bottom of the pot.
• If the cookware is used in the oven or on a gas stove, the handles can become hot. Be sure to use potholders.
• If the pots are moved back and forth often, traces of aluminum may be seen on the glass ceramic surface. It is
better to lift the cookware. Traces of aluminum can be removed with glass ceramic care products available in
stores.
• Do not store food in the pot, especially salty or acidic foods. Transfer them to suitable bowls or containers.
Otherwise this could result in damage to the sealing. Do not add salt to cold water, but wait until the water is
boiling, and then stir.
• Please do not stack the pots without cushioning them.
