Contrast Accounting Accuracy Tips:
Ensure system is Paused if contrast is not being injected to patient.
Ensure system is Active (unpaused) when contrast is being injected to patient.
Battery Preservation Tip for the Components of the Disposable Kits:
For the Smart Syringe: Place the Smart Syringe plunger in the fully aspirated or fully
injected position.
For the DyeVert Plus Module: Place the DyeVert Plus reservoir plunger in the complete
empty or full position (ie., aspirate all contrast from reservoir OR fill reservoir with a full
injection from the Smart Syringe).
For the DyeVert Plus EZ Module: Place the DyeVert Plus EZ reservoir plunger in the
complete empty position only.
End Case

1) Select End Case and confirm "Yes"
Caution: Ending case will permanently disable communication between the Smart Monitor
and disposables.
Caution: End Case must be selected prior to powering down the Smart Monitor or starting a
new case.. Powering down Smart Monitor before ending case, or starting a new case without
ending case, may lead to inaccurate accounting on next patient case. If the Smart Monitor is
powered down prior to ending case and it has been less than 2 hours the Smart Monitor will ask
if the user would like to continue the case that was in progress prior to powering down.
After End Case is selected, a Case Summary screen appears showing cumulative volume of
contrast administered to patient and % of physician specified threshold. If utilizing the DyeVert
Plus or DyeVert Plus EZ, contrast saved (mL and %) will also display.
To view summaries of previous cases, from Main Menu select Settings, User Settings, Case
History.
System Discontinuation- Smart Monitor
From Main Menu, press and hold the power button on the side of the Smart Monitor until iOS
power down indicator displays, then swipe as indicated on the screen.
System Discontinuation- Disposables
The Module disposables and Smart Syringe contain alkaline batteries. Discard Smart Syringe,
Module disposable and single-use contrast source according to hospital procedures.
Follow local governing ordinances regarding disposal. Do not incinerate as the enclosed
batteries may explode at excessive temperatures.

LOW OR NO BATTERY WARNING
End Case
The Module disposable and Smart Syringe contain batteries. Battery level icons are displayed
in the status bar as green (OK), yellow (low- approximately 20 minutes remaining) or red
(depleted). A warning will appear on the screen with a depiction of the disposable and a
countdown timer when the disposable has 5 minutes of battery life remaining.
When the battery of the disposable is depleted in full the Smart Monitor will automatically require
the user to replace the disposable or end the case.
DISPOSABLE REPLACEMENT
During a case, the Smart Syringe or Module disposable may be replaced for any reason.
