Performing the Function Test

Pump is connected to fluid bag and instrument (see chapter 9.2 "Starting the De-
vice"). The pump is turned on.
CAUTION!
The test has to be performed outside of a joint.
1. Select the following values:
• Nominal pressure = 100 mm Hg
• Max. flow = 0.8 l/min
2. Start pump by pressing the Start/Stop key (inflow valve at instrument is open
and fluid emerges from the tube). The tube is filled with liquid.
3. Close the inflow valve at instrument. The bar graph display shows approx.
100 mm Hg.
4. Stop the pump by pressing the Start/Stop key.

Checking the "Wash" Function

1. Open the inflow valve.
2. Start the "Wash" function by pressing the function field Wash on the device
or the corresponding key on the wired remote control. The pressure and flow
rate increase for the Wash function preset in the user menu are depicted in
the nominal pressure and max. flow displays.
3. Stop the "Wash" function by again pressing the function field Wash on the
device or the corresponding key on the wired remote control. The max. flow
and nominal pressure displays show the last set values.

Ending the Function Test

The function test has been successfully completed. The device is now ready for
use. Position the device as needed for surgery.
